Mix and match of fabric and prints was the key idea behind Preen's spring 2013 collection. As many other designers are experimenting on this mix and match trend so do Preen and was looking quite successful. Slits and reptilian patch work also play an important role and proves to be a nice comeback of Preen from NY to London after 10 years.
It is said that Thea Bregazzi designer for Preen takes inspiration from the colored teacup stack she saw in her home, when she visited her family in Isle of Man. Thea said “She has all these blue-and-white teacups, stacked up, which look incredible,” she says, laughing. “And the other thing,” adds Bregazzi’s partner, Justin Thornton, “is that Thea’s dad rides motorcycles, so a bit of biker crept into our thinking, too.”
