Inspired from mountain sleeping bags, Proenza Schouler - Pre Fall 2012
- Written by Jolie Angie
Both Lazaro and Jack were to Himalayas. I heard they shoot some magazine photos there with models wearing rubber tipped pumps. Therefore Proenza Schouler pre-fall collection was all based on this idea of mountains and luggage.
The collection features tweed jackets, parkas, quilted coats like sleeping bags, aerial mountain view prints, nylon taffeta skirt, round shoulder coats and jackets, high neck cardigan, wrap around towel like skirts, mini bra like top, layering jackets, use of braided strings and belts around waist, colorless jackets and sheer top panel.
The color palette was cool having leaf green, cool blue, red, orange, navy blue, purple and black. The collection was all inspired by their trip to Mount Everest trip and quilted sleeping bags. But they done this in a chic style more intelligently making the collection overall a more better modern look. The Iguana leather hand bags that are pricier than python leather was also a new luxe style to their pre-fall collection.
