Colorful, graphical, light weight flowy are the words that truly defines Carolina's Spring 2013 collection showcased at New York fashion Week. The versatility in fabric like chiffon, tulle, organza, and other featherweight materials make the collection fluid and at the same time elegant.

Palm head pieces, breezy chiffon maxi gowns, nature prints and the hues take us to another world "Hawaii". The flirty collection by Mara Hoffman looked like we have fun in summer with skin evident from cutouts to get tanned in sun. A mix of tropical, safari venture.

Rebecca Taylor's Spring 2013 collection was more Urban due to its summer spent in the city, Albeit. The girly flares, soft hues and light dressing style looks easy to pull of in summer. The denim infusion worked best specially when its all about girls. 

From the past many years Derek Lam is experimenting with its sporty luxury brand, so this year the sport tech trend proves a fun thing to experiment for him. An amazing thing is that Lam's collection was full of autumn colors, that's really interesting. This year he took a little inspiration from Barkley Hendricks’series of portraits titled “Birth of the cool.”
