Fiber - A Must have Diet
- Written by Jolie Angie
Where are my vitamins? I am always in a hurry to find my bottle of vitamins and essential minerals. But I never care about my diet. I never spare a little time to think that am I taking enough regular dietary fiber. Where’s my daily dose of fiber?
I heard and experimented a lot that if you are facing constipation problem then start taking fibers. Why so? This is because fibers help in food digestion. Although fibers are not digested but still are helpful in digesting other food, remaining intact with your digestive system.

Fibers not only help in food digestion but also help in dissolving unwanted fats from your body. So it is another beneficial aspect of fiber. Some people use more fibers while dieting or slimming. Now it is important to know which food contains fiber. Let’s see. |

FOOD WITH FIBER: Rice, potato, wheat, barley, oat, legumes and beans, fruits like apple, banana, mangoes, papaya and citrus fruit contains a lot of fiber that is soluble and can easily be digested along with other food. But the insoluble kind of food fiber that cannot be digested and passes as is it, are in green leafy vegetables, nuts and fruit peels. |
I know while reading this post you people are continuously thinking about your diet and starring at the fact that you are taking banana, wheat, and many other fiber foods, so why she is saying so. OK.

You are almost thinking right. But the big thing is many people don’t take fiber that much regularly. The most important thing is the regularity as you are regularly taking vitamins. More interestingly speaking, include fiber food in every meal, snack and breakfast daily. For a moment, if you are taking brown bread then it’s ok. It means you are taking fiber in breakfast. But if white bread, then must add one of the foods that contains fiber, like you might add some fiber fruit or a bowl of green leafy salad in the breakfast.
Doctors and nutritionists said “Fiber lowers blood cholesterol, maintain bowel health, control blood sugar, help in dissolving unwanted fat and also reduces risk of colon cancer.” So believing in the fact, If not 100% then I am 99% sure that Fibers are good for health. So as you take care of your daily dose of vitamin so do with your fibers.
